Morning Smoothies
Right now we make smoothies every morning to get our digestive systems moving. As it gets colder we may have oatmeal for breakfast more often, but still make mostly smoothies. We aim for organic ingredients because we eat so many fruits and veggies we feel it's important for our overall health.
Eating
Lunch Salad or Soup
Basics are... Veggies (cooked and uncooked) , Protein (eggs, beans or lentils), Carbs (Starchy veggies like potatoes, squash, broccoli, brussel sprouts).
Dinner Dishes
Dinner usually ends up being the most cooked meal, but still includes lots of veggies. Veggie stir fry, fajita veggies, zucchini Ratatouille, Curry and chickpea pasta are common in our house. We use minimal oil and enjoy getting creative with what we can find in our kitchen. We usually use recipes as guidelines and rarely ever make something the same way every time. We like cooking to be more flexible and relaxed.
